Our reputation for providing complete control system solutions has attracted major companies in the energy, transport, and industrial sectors such as EDP Renewables, Elecnor, TSK Group, Catalan Government Railways (FGC) and E-Redes, for whom we have provided bespoke engineering, equipment supply, commissioning, testing and maintenance.

We are particularly renowned for our specialist SCADA engineering and our innovative, custom-designed power control algorithms.

Since 2008, GEDLux has been working closely with ABB and Hitachi Energy, using their substation automation and protection products as the basis for our solutions.

To date, we have completed more than 452 control and protection projects for our customers in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, of which more than 275 have been focused on SCADA systems.

First Railways Contract

Supply, engineering, commissioning, and integration of remote-control cabinets to twelve 6kV transformer stations and their integration into the electricity dispatch control.

First Renewable Energy Project

Supply, engineering, and commissioning of the MicroSCADA SYS600 SAS system of the “El Espartal” solar photovoltaic farm for the Energy Grid of Renovables Autol.

Partnership Agreement with ABB Finland

Partnership agreement with ABB Finland for MV Control & Protection Products and Distribution Automation.

Agreement with ABB Germany for provision of Remote Terminal Units.

Far-reaching SCADA project

Innovative design, engineering, supply, and commissioning of a basic and an advanced MicroSCADA SYS600 and DMS600 centralized SAS system consisting of 25 ABB MicroSCADA licenses and 2 Distribution Management System licenses for use by 230 independent electricity providers.

First International Venture.

Engineering, commissioning, and expansion of the LON SAS system of EDPr’s Cernavoda 110/33 kV wind farm substation in Romania.

Engineering and Maintenance Contract with EDP Renewables

Engineering and maintenance contract of new control system projects. Involves installation, programming, and implementation of modifications to the existing control system of various substations belonging to wind farms in Central, Eastern and Southern Spain, as well as in Poland and Romania.

Partnership Agreement with ABB Sweden

Partnership agreement to provide high voltage protection relays.

First project in Latin America via our collaboration with Grupo TSK, a leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction company.

ABB Authorised Value Provider

GEDLux becomes the first System Integrator in the world to attain the status of ABB Authorised Value Provider for its electrical substation automation and protection products with a special focus on MicroSCADA systems.

Exclusive two-year (2017-19) maintenance and engineering contract of new control system projects to existing control systems of EDP HC Energía’s distribution network in Northern Spain.

Opens La Rioja Office

Opens a second regional office in La Rioja, inthe north of Spain, to provide optimal engineering support to the increasing number of substation projects in the area.

E-REDES Maintenance Contract Renewal

E-REDES (formerly EDP HC Energía) renews our engineering and maintenance contract for a further two years which means that we have now been contracted to service its substation control systems for nine years.

Hitachi Energy Platinum Partner

With the purchase of ABB Power Grids by Hitachi, our status as Authorised Value Provider changed to that of Hitachi Energy Platinum Partner; increasing our range of authorized automation products with the inclusion of MicroSCADA X and SDM600 systems.

Official Reseller of Safegrid Products

GEDLux becomes the official reseller of Safegrid products, a Finnish company that specializes in network monitoring and fault location products.

Opens Asturian Office

GEDLux opens its third regional office in Spain, setting up in the northern coastal town of Gijon, in Asturias.
